Negative impact of social media

Social media (often misrepresented as social media) is an online media, with its users being able to easily participate, share and create the contents of blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and the virtual world. Blogs, social networks and wikis are the most common forms of social media used by people throughout the world. There are several negative impacts from social media. Like, raises an attitude of indifference towards the people around, the occurrence of cyber-bullying, the rise of crimes originating from social media, allowing to become an individualist, decreased health level, and pornography.
First, raises an attitude of indifference towards people around, social media also makes someone weak in sympathy and even empathizes with their surroundings because their attention will always be fixed on the screen of the smartphone. This is a lot we find in public places. For example when in public transportation.
Second, the occurrence of cyber-bullying, cyber bullying is a form of violence on the internet that is done or experienced by someone, especially children and adolescents. Generally cyber bullying is carried out by adolescents where at these ages they need recognition of their existence.
Third, the rise of crimes originating from social media, we may have often heard in news about crime cases that originated from this social media, including such cases of kidnapping, rape and murder. This is one of the most severe negative impacts of social media. When on the other hand social media has a positive impact to increase friendship, on the other hand there is an impact that we must pay attention to.
Fourth, allowing to be an individualist. These are the things we often see around us, because we have met many people who are preoccupied with their gadgets. If someone too enjoys the existence of this social media, the individualist nature will gradually emerge. So that this person enjoys his own existence even when meeting many people.
Fifth, decreased health level. Healthy is expensive, and do you believe if social media turns out to have an influence on our health? Inevitably you have to believe because this impact has been proven right after being carried out by many researchers in the world. If you are already too engrossed in playing social media, your eyes will always be fixated on the smartphone screen which will certainly disrupt your eye health.
Sixth, pornography. Pornography is a negative impact that can be caused by social media. The presumption that says that the internet is synonymous with pornography is indeed not wrong. With the ability to convey information that the internet has, pornography is rampant. To anticipate this, browser manufacters complete their programs with the ability to vhoose the type of home page that can be accesed. On the internet there are pornographic images and violence that can lead to encouragement for someone to act criminal.
Therefore, social media users must be clever in managing their social media. It is not wrong and not negatively affected by social media.
